Yunus Emre Aktaş, who is conducting his doctorate studies in the field of bioengineering at Marmara University, has succeeded in reducing the duration of sunflower seed breeding from 10 to 1 year with his studies at the University laboratory. The young academician, who managed to grow nearly 500 improved sunflowers even in a limited laboratory area, is waiting for seed producers to reach him.
